Borger - Cecil Rentfrow, 93, of Borger died Thursday February 22 in Amarillo. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Georgia King, pastor officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Cecil was born September 14, 1914 in Stoneington, CO. In 1926 he came to Borger with his parents, three brothers and three sisters, all have preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Borger High School and in the early days owned and operated his own grocery store. In 1942 he joined the Army Corps of Engineers and served in the European Theater of War until 1945. Upon returning to Borger, he owned and operated Medco Boiler Works. He then discovered his love of selling cars and trucks and owned and operated the Lincoln Mercury dealership. He later spent many years at Bob Johnson Motor Co. in the truck department. His love of selling continued until 2006 when he retired. Cecil married Katherine Neeley October 26, 1985 at Bob Johnson's home in Borger. He loved people and was known all over the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. He is survived by his wife Katherine, one daughter Nancy Stark and one son Ronald Rentfrow both of Dallas, one stepdaughter Diane Adams of Tyler, TX and one stepson Mike Neeley of Odessa, two granddaughters Jennifer Whitmore of Cedar Park, TX and Kristen Stark of Los Angeles, CA and two great granddaughters. He is also survived by a host of friends who will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to the Harrington Cancer Center Circle of Friends, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
