Champ S. Hughes, 59, died Monday, April 14, 2008 in Borger.BRBRServices will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at New Jerusaleum Church of God in Christ with Rev. Harry Williams, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRChamp was born on April 29, 1948 in Pawhuska, OK to Champ O. Rosa L. Hughes and had been a Borger resident for 27 years. He was a field operator for DCP Mindstream and served in the US Navy. He married Georgia Sauls on January 11, 1981 in Borger. He was a member of the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, the national Rifle Association and Local 351. BRBRHe is survived by his wife, Georgia Hughes of the Home, two daughters - Stephanie Michelle Hughes of Houston, Shayna Nicole Hughes of Borger, two brother - Terry Hughes and Don Hughes both of Pampa, two sisters - Linda Ford of Pampa, Fannie Smith of Dallas, TX.BRBRMemorials may be made to The Blessings, PO Box 5541, Borger 79008.
