Charles Warner Basham

Charles Warner Basham, 73 of Skellytown went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 29, 2023, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Skellytown. The burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. There will be a family and friends' visitation on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at the funeral home.

Charles was born November 29, 1949, in Levelland, Texas to Dondal and Winnie Christine (Chaddick) Basham. He married Becky Hefner July 29, 1988, at Calvary Baptist Church in Borger. He loved guns and target shooting. Charles worked at the Texas Department of Corrections as a correctional officer.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers, Wendell and James Rondal Basham and father-in-law, Max Hefner.

Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Becky; brother, Larry Don Basham of Fritch; mother-in-law, Frances Hefner of Stinnett.

Memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors.
