Charles Nowell

Charles Nowell 71, of Borger, TX died Friday, December 29, 2017 in Wellington, TX.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Freedom Baptist Church 900 Alta Vista St, Amarillo, TX 79106 with Pastor Alvin Walker officiating. Arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell (Borger).

Charles was born October 14, 1946 in Hugo, OK to Colvin and Nadine Nowell. He grew up in Borger and graduated from Borger HS and West Texas A&M University. Charles worked for Kmart, Kraft Inc., United Supermarkets, Walmart, and as a substitute teacher in Borger, Amarillo, and Canyon. He enjoyed time with his family and friends and walking his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents Colvin and Nadine Nowell, brother Troy Nowell, and grand-daughter Kathryn Nowell.

Survivors include his son David Nowell and wife Traci of Amarillo, son Jeremy Nowell and wife Charisa of North Richland Hills, grand children Luke, Asher, Emily and Logan, sister Doris Forney and husband Lee of Amarillo, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to The PARC (Panhandle Adult Rebuilding Center, 413 SW 6th Ave, Amarillo, tx, 79101 806.367.8024).
