BorgerBRBRCharles B. Snapp, 76, of Borger, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in Amarillo.BRBRServices are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Word of Life Church with Pastor Doc Shuman officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Casket bearers will be his grandsons Jonathan Yohn, Camron Roberts, Andrew Howell, Greg Echols and Derek Roberts. Honorary bearers will be his sons Marc Schaefer, Ricky Roberts and Leon Roberts.BRBRMr. Snapp was born on March 18, 1932 in Sedalia, Missouri to Thomas Alexander and Hazel Beth Snapp. He had lived in Borger most of his life after serving in the US Navy in Korea from 1951 to 1955. He was a construction supervisor for Rice and then later worked as an equipment operator for CRL Pump Supply up until a few days ago. Charles married Betty Rogers on March 4, 1979 in Clovis, NM.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers - Ray Snapp and Thomas Snapp, Jr. and 2 sisters - Renia Marie Snapp and Ellen Ruth Snapp.BRBRHe is survived by his wife, Betty Snapp of the home, three sons - Marc Schaefer and wife Kathy of Albuquerque, NM, Leon Roberts and wife Linda of Borger, Ricky Roberts and wife Sissy of Oklahoma, four daughters - Billie Kiger and husband Jim of Paonia, CO, Janie Echols and husband Roy of Albuquerque, NM, Monee' Farkasosky and husband Eric of Desert Aire, WA, and Michelle Tindall and husband Richard of Fritch, 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to your favorite charity.

A visitation is scheduled for 5 - 7 p.m. Friday evening at MintonChatwell Funeral Home.

The family will be staying at 614 Jackson in Borger.
