Cheryl Lynn Gibbs

Cheryl Lynn Gibbs passed away on Sunday October, 8, 2023.  Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Faith Covenant Church, with Pastor Les Sharp officiating.  Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive visitors on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Cheryl was born September 18, 1958 in Borger, Texas to Henry and Betty (Talley) Ratliff.  She graduated in 1977 from Panhandle High School and attended Frank Phillips College.  Cheryl was part owner of the Legacy ABC Insurance Agency.  She was also a shipping clerk for Chevron Phillips.  Cheryl loved elephants and was an avid collector.   She was known as “Nana” by her grandchildren who she loved and cherished very much. 

Cheryl is preceded in death by her father Henry. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gary of the home; mother, Betty Ratliff; son, Brian Gibbs of Canyon; daughter, Amy Barber and husband, Bobby of Borger; and brother, Rusty Ratliff and wife, Cindy of Fritch.  Cheryl was blessed with six grandchildren, Colby, Shaylee, Avery, Hunter, Hannah, and Lexi as well as her precious great-granddaughter, Bea.
