Chester Olay Hayes, 86, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 in Borger.BRBRServices will be at 10:00 am. Friday at Riverview Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Gillmore, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Hayes was born on September 18, 1921 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Olay Bertha Hayes. He had been a Stinnett and Borger resident for 63 years. He was a retired compressor operator for Panhandle Producers and member of Riverview Baptist Church. Chester enjoyed camping, fishing and music; and he raised a houseful of kids. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter - Joanie Hayes, two granddaughters, one brother and three sisters. BRBRHe was survived by his wife, Ila Hayes of the home, seven children - David Sandy Hayes of Amarillo, Donnie Hayes of Stinnett, Danny Hayes and Dennis Hayes both of Borger, Janice Sepulveda of Stinnett, Terry Hayes of Borger, Mandy Cummings of Fritch, twenty-four grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.BRBRHis casket bearers will be his grandsons - John Cummings, Frankie Hudson, Robert Hayes, Brandon Langford, Rusty Sepulveda, Junior Fernandez, J. J. Beltran and Jake Keel.
