Panhandle - Christopher "Fat Cat" Gordon Hileman, 40, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016.
Funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, January 9, 2016 in St. Theresa Catholic Church in Panhandle with Father Mitch officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Burial will be held privately. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm at the funeral home on Friday, January 8, 2016. Christopher was born September 21, 1975 in Amarillo to Dena Sue Quinby and Edgar Gordon Hileman. He graduated from Panhandle High School in 1994 and attended the Local 196 Welding School in Amarillo. Christopher was a member of the Pipeliners Local Union #798 of Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked pipeline for companies such as Sterling, Enterpipe, Willboros and Gorman Phillip. He was a train enthusiast and enjoyed shooting pool with his friends who affectionately named him the "Pit Master" of the bbq.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Alleen Hileman, Dollie Wedder and Vern Quinby.
Survivors include his parents, Beau and Dena Hileman of Panhandle; brother, Otis "Opie" Paul Hileman and wife Grace of Portland, Oregon; and a nephew, Maceo Hileman.
