Christopher Wade McBrayer, 16, met his Lord and Maker on December 24, 2015, in Amarillo, Texas.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the West Texas High School Event Center in Stinnett, Texas with Pastor Jimmy Gillmore officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the funeral home.
Christopher was born in Amarillo, Texas to Lorne and Tammy McBrayer on July 8, 1999. He was a junior at West Texas High School.
There are not enough words to express how unique Christopher was. There was never a dull moment with this boy. He had a genuine, giving soul and was hilarious and witty. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved all things outdoors. He touched so many lives during his short time with us. He was loved by many and will be missed tremendously.
He is preceded in death by his great grandfathers, J. D. Cheatwood, R. P. Gray, J. C. McBrayer, and Lucky Norwood; great grandmothers, Georgia Cheatwood, Anita Larue Gray and Norene McBrayer; grandfather, Mack McBrayer; grandmother, Carolyn Cheatwood Lewis; aunts, Rhonda McBrayer and Meghan McBrayer; uncles, David Cheatwood & Rickey Gray.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Lorne and Tammy McBrayer of Sanford, Texas; his sissy, Kaycee Orr and husband, Sean of Amarillo, Texas; great grandmother, Esther Norwood of Yantis, Texas; grandparents, Chris and Anne Gray of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mac and Bobbie McCormick of Gilmer, Texas and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and his cats, Carl and Chunkers.
