Cindy Maddox

Cindy Lou Maddox, 63, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Conway Community Church in Panhandle.  In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to help with funeral expenses, donations may be made through Venmo to @Chris-Stephens-51 please list that it is for funeral expenses.

Cindy was born June 16, 1958, in Pampa, Texas to Garland Cotton and Mattie Rankin Cotton.   She married Michael Maddox on July 12, 1974, in Erick, Oklahoma.  Cindy enjoyed watching OU Women’s softball, crocheting, gambling, and tending to her cats.  Nothing brought more joy to her life than her spending time with her family, especially her sisters and grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Mattie Cotton and a brother, Wayne Newman.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Michael Maddox; daughters, Melody Whitt and husband James of Panhandle, Christina Stephens and husband Bobby of Panhandle; seven grandchildren, Tabby Seitz and husband Cody, Austin Whitt and wife Tess, Nick Stephens and wife Lauren, Morgan Stephens, Kristin Anderson, Zachary Stephens, Maddox Stephens; five great grandchildren; brother, Ray Cotton and wife Diane of Ozark, Arkansas; sisters, Jo Letta Powell of Troop, Texas, Jeanette Kirkland and husband Pete of Troop, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
