Clara Aleskin

April 28, 1923 — September 1, 2012

Linioel Geyer Aleskin passed away peacefully on September 1, 2012
in Louisville, Colorado. She was 89 years old.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Linioel was born on April 28, 1923 to Bruce and Caroline Geyer in Ada, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Aleskin, her two sisters, Genelle Root, Marjorie McDonald and her brother, Kent Geyer.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Jan and Jon Rasmussen of Boulder, CO
and her son, Geyer Aleskin of Borger, TX. Linioel was a loving, devoted grandmother to Jan and Jons sons, Sean and Weston, as well as to Geyers sons, Dalton and Jordan. She leaves behind two great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The Geyer family moved to Borger, TX in 1926, where Linioels father Bruce
worked for Continental Oil Company until he retired. Linioel also worked for Continental Oil Company.

Linioel had beautiful red hair so her family and friends affectionately nicknamed her Penny. That early nickname remained with Linioel for her entire life.

Linioel married Paul Aleskin on August 23, 1950 in Borger, TX. It was there that she and Paul owned Bentleys Clothing Store, and they raised their family.

Family, friends and community civic service were the most important part of Linioels life. She worked for the American Red Cross and volunteered for the American Cancer Society, the United Way, and Meals on Wheels, to name a few.
She will always hold a special place in our hearts and was loved by all who knew her.

In leiu of flowers please send donations in Linioels memory to Hospice Care of Boulder Broomfield Counties at 2594 Trailridge Dr. East, Lafayette, Co. 80026
