Clarica Cargill

Clarica Stephanita Cargill, 73 of Panhandle passed away on Saturday, September 25,2021, in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at New Hope Assembly of God Church in Panhandle. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. There will be a visitation of family and friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Clarica was born January 8, 1948, in Dumas, TX to Howard Matthew and Mabel Mae (Benefiel) King. She graduated from Dumas High School in 1966. She married Joey Cargill May 13, 1966, in Dumas. She worked at Panhandle Thriftway for 33 years. She was a member of New Hope Assembly Church where she taught the children Sunday school. She loved crafts, sewing reading Christine Feehan and spoiling her grandchildren, great grandchildren and taking care of her husband.

Preceding her in death is her parents.

Surviving is her husband Joey Cargill Sr. Son Joey Cargill II and wife Shelby Simmons- Cargill of Lubbock. Daughters Renee Michelle Ewing and husband Mike of Amarillo; Misty Faye Brown and husband Steven of Amarillo; Stephanie Jo Harper and husband Clay of Amarillo. Sister Kathyleen Oldham of Panhandle. Grandchildren Hayden, Kelton and Colton Long, Katelyn, Kyle Brown, Jayden, Conner Reed Ewing, Olivia, Kyndal and Preston. Ten great grandchildren.
