Claude T. Kuroki, 81 of Borger died Thursday, November 9th in Borger. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 29 at Minton Memorial Chapel.
Claude was born April 4, 1936 in Borger to Jimmy and Sada (Yoshida) Kuroki. He was very proud to serve his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Linda Wilson Savage November 1, 1980 in Borger. He was a member of the National Association of Purchasing Managers. He was a founding member of the Hutchinson County Crisis Center and served on multiple boards that included The United Way and Salvation Army. He served multiple terms as President of the Phillips Country Club, the Borger Men's Bowling Association and was a member of the Borger Elks Lodge. At the age of 60, Claude was the city champ of both men's bowling league and the Borger Golf Association.
Claude retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. in 2002 where he served as the Panhandle Facilities Manager since the opening of the new Phillips building in 1985.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Sada.
Surviving Claude is his wife, Linda of Borger; daughters, Mishelle Burks and husband Brad, of Denton, Texas and Julie Carradine and husband, Jay of Lake Dallas, Texas; brother, Gary and wife Michele of Midwest City, Oklahoma; sister, Sharon Beckman and husband David of Santa Rosa, California; grandchildren, Zac Anderson, Matt Burks, Jake Hutson, Katie Burks, Ryan Burks and Richie Crawford, Nephew Kiel Kuroki of Midwest City, OK and Niece Kourtney Kuroki of Los Angeles, CA.
