Clifford E. Wilson, 90, died Monday, May 19, 2008 in Borger, Texas.BRBRGraveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Resthaven Garden at Highland Park Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Boren, Pastor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Wilson was born on June 29, 1917 in Peru,Kansas. He had been a Borger resident for 40 years. He was a mechanical engineer for Conoco Petroleum Co. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII as an ensign. He married Betty J. Powell on October 1, 1954 in Ardmore, OK. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. BRBRHe was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and two sisters, Marjorie Hatch and Gilda Smith.BRBRHe is survived by one son - Bret Wilson of Borger, daughter - Tara Steger and husband, Brad of Borger, sister - Wilma Ward of Caney, KS and three grandchildren - Kelli Steger of Asia, Trent Steger of Tulsa, OK, and Kyler Steger of Borger.
