Clyde Eugene Miller, 85, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Miller will be buried at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.

Clyde was born June 8, 1936 in Dillon County, South Carolina to Thomas Hezekiah Miller and Daisy Hayes. He proudly served his country not only in the United States Army but also in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Air Force as a Fire Chief. Clyde enjoyed fishing, feeding ducks and making chow for large crowds and he always cooked too much. If he ever asked his family what they wanted for chow they would always respond, steak and shrimp. He is fondly remembered for his snack tooth and always had drawers of chocolate for the kids and grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; two brothers; son, Robert Eugene Miller; and one great-granddaughter, Natalia Stanton.

Survivors include the love of his life, Laura "I.G." Adams of Lumberton, North Carolina; son, Thomas Howard Miller and wife, Crystal of Manhattan, Kansas; daughters, Alicia Gayle Morgan and husband Anthony "Fabian" of Borger, Texas; Clella Beth Stanton of Tennessee, Dusti Griffin and husband Willie of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; grandchildren, Damon and wife Courtney, Tyshion, Tianna, Tasia, Paige Elizabeth and fiancé Zack Miller, Nicole Mercy and fiancé Isaias Chavez, Jr., Jeremiah W.F., Tyler, Ashley, Rebecca, Kristan, and Rheta; great grandchildren Abby, Emma, Clara, Mia June, Anakin, Nora, and James, numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends, especially Ruby Browning.

I would like to add a special THANK YOU to all the staff at the VA in AMARILLO who took care of Dad. Everyone is amazing and is always full of kindness and compassion to all their Veterans. GOD bless Y'all.
