Colleen Hamby

Colleen A. Hamby, 84, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Broadway Baptist Church in Fritch with Rev. Bill Browning, pastor officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mrs. Hamby was born on June 26, 1926 in Harlan, Iowa and moved to Amarillo from Fritch in 2000.
She married Wayne Hamby on February 25, 1974 in Albuquerque, NM and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist and loved to shop. She was preceded in death by three daughters Candiece Stanzyk, Rebeka Born and Jennifer Hamby.

Mrs. Hamby is survived by her husband Wayne of the home, three sons James Hamby of Pampa, Ronald Hamby of Amarillo, Donny Stanzyk of Waterloo, Iowa, five daughters Donna Faye Lowrance of Pampa, Debbie Gray of Panhandle, Dorthea Cooper of McLean, Cheri Eicher of Weldona, CO, Sandra Stokes of Amarillo, twentysix grandchildren, twentytwo greatgrandchildren and six greatgreat grandchildren.
