Conrad Coke Frank Kotara, 95, died Monday, November 3, 2008 in Dumas, Texas.BRBRRosary Service will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Carmichael Whatley Chapel in Pampa with Deacon Barnabas Radke, officiating. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Pampa. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Kotara will lie in state at Carmichael Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa.BRBRMr. Kotara was born on September 5, 1913 in Falls City, Texas and had lived in Dumas since 1998 moving there from Pampa. He was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Pampa and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for years. He married Francis Olsen in 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents - Edward Gertrude Kotara, two sisters - Proxie Hendricks and Severn Jones and son - Terry Kotara.
Conrad loved to raise a garden, hunt and fish.BRBRHe is survived by his wife Francis Kotara of the home, two daughters- Dorma Bray and husband Gary of Dumas, Paulette Jerome of Dallas, brother - Lonnie Kotara of Athens, TX, sister - Dallen Romack of Red Oak, TX, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.BRBRMemorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 415 W. 8th, 300, Amarillo, TX 79101 or to Twenty-Six: Twelve, 6115 Camp Bowie Blvd., Suite 225, Fort Worth, TX 76116.
