Corina Leal Piedra, 69, of Borger, died Friday, January 27, 2012 in Borger.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the First United Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Gustavo Hernandez, of La Roca Apostolica church officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen garden at Westlawn Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Corina Leal Piedra was born February 12, 1942 in Karnes City to Juan and Lucia Murillo Leal. She married Tomas Piedra July 23, 1962 in Morton, and had been a Borger resident since 1980. Corina was a member of the La Roca Apostolica church.

Corina Piedra is survived by her husband Tomas Piedra Sr three sons Tom Piedra Jr., and wife Martha, Tony Piedra, and wife Kim, both of Borger, Michael Piedra and wife Tina of Amarillo four daughters Angie Juarez, and husband Abel, Gloria Piedra, and husband Gregorio, Alice Piedra, and husband Jerry, Lucy Ann Piedra, all of Borger two brothers Francisco Leal of Karnes City, Juan Leal of Pawnee four sisters Augustine Sergura, Juanita Reyes, Maria Garcia, all of Karnes City, Louisa Ramon of Cromwell 26 grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren, and one godchild.

Corina Piedra is preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Piedra, her parents, Juan Pina Leal, and Lucia Murillo Leal, a sister, Martina Rodriguez, a brother, Porfirio M. Leal, a nephew, Ted Ramone, and close friend, Luisa Carrillo.
