Cory Dean Smith, 39, went Saturday, August 6, 2011 to be with his Lord and dad in heaven.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Riverview Baptist church with Preacher Jimmy Gillmore officiating. Interment will follow in the garden of love at Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Cory was born March 13, 1972 to Dean and Sally Smith in Borger, Texas. He lived in Greely, Colorado for the last 4 years. Prior to Greely he lived in Lubbock for 6 years. Cory was a member of Central Baptist church in Canadian, and loved spending his days with his nieces and nephews. He was passionate as a student of history and computers. Cory attended Frank Phillips Junior College, West Texas AM, and finished up his degree at Wayland Baptist University in Lubbock with a Masters in Business Administration.

Survivors include his mother Sally Smith of Carlsbad, New Mexico, grandparents Fred and Joann McAnally of Fritch, 2 brothers Kelly Smith and wife Kimberly of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Brett Smith and wife Robyn of Greely, Colorado, 5 nephews Garrett, Adam, Samuel, Logan, and Conner Smith, and 2 nieces Ashlynn and Tory Smith.

Cory is preceded in death by his father, Dean Smith Jr., a brother Joel Dean Smith, and his grandparents, V.O. and Norma Smith.
