Dale Mcilroy

Panhandle Dale L. McIlroy, 71, of Panhandle died Friday, November 27, 2009 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be 11:00 am Monday Nov. 30th at Panhandle First United Methodist Church with Pastor Bud Tidwell officating. Cremation was under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Mr. McIlroy was born on January 25, 1938 in Charleston, Arkansas and had been a resident of Panhandle since 1971. He was a retired salesman and manager of Bruckner Mac Trucks, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Panhandle. He married Nancy Reed on December 28, 1955 in Wister, OK. He was the past president and member of the Panhandle Country Club. He loved to play golf and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Minnie McIlroy, brother - Paul McIlroy, Jr. and an infant daughter Janet Lynn. He was survived by his wife Nancy McIlroy of the home, son - Dale Lee McIlroy II of Panhandle, daughter - Carla Collier of Jasper, TX, sister - Sue McConnell and husband Jack of Rogers, AK, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
