Dale Richerson, 84, died Monday, June 13, 2016 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Merrill Silvey officiating. The family will receive guests at the Minton Chatwell Funeral Home in Fritch from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Dale was the son of Ira Elmer Byars and Loleat Cook Byars he was born February 16, 1932 in Wheeler, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Business Degree from the University of Texas. Dale proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a longtime resident of Fritch and was in Human Relations for Natural Gas Pipeline Co. Dale was a member of 1st Southern Baptist Church, a former School Board member of the Sanford Fritch Independent School District, and a member of the Lions Club in Miami, TX. He was an avid golfer, a University of Texas fan and his special place was his cabin in Angel Fire, NM. Dale married Venita Rae Cowan in August of 1953 and she preceded him in death in September, 2006, he married Edith Smith in May of 2008.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Venita, his son Clay Richerson in 2015, his brother Don Byars and his sister June Richerson.
Dale is survived by his wife Edith, his daughter Rene Parker and her husband Joe of Fritch, his son Scott Richerson and his wife Kellie of Stillwater, OK, his Daughter in Law Kenet Richerson of Muenster, TX, his grandchildren Michelle Turbett, Travis Parker, Trae Richerson, Torie Addington, Tye Richerson, Kara Wyatt and Ryan Richerson, his great grandchildren Miranda, Ashlynn, Austin, Aspyn and Ace.
After the graveside service the family invites guests to the 1st Southern Baptist Fellowship Hall for a time of sharing and a meal.
