Dale Burton Willard, 94, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019.
Funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday, April 11, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will in Panhandle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice.
Dale was born June 9, 1924 in Pratt, Kansas to James Daniel Willard and Winnie Esther Talley. Dale proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. He married Betty Rinestine on February 7, 1948 in Clayton, New Mexico. Dale was a telegrapher for the Southern Pacific Railroad where he retired. He enjoyed planning road trips and tinkering. Nothing brought more joy to his life than being with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; and brothers, Dwight Willard, Claude Willard.
Survivors include sons, Peter Shane Willard and wife Rhonda of Panhandle, Daniel Earl Willard and wife Carol of Albuquerque; daughter, Lisa Marie Marnell and husband T.J. of Amarillo; daughter-in-love, Jowain LaFaye Gray of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Erin, Danika, Morgan, Jesse, Justin, Dusty, Rusty, Shane; fifteen great grandchildren and one due to arrive in August; one great-great grandchild; brother, Jim Willard of Enid, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
