David Branin, Sr.

David Ellis Branin, Sr., 54, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 22, 2022, at The River in Panhandle.  In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to the memorial account set up at Happy State Bank (FBO David Branin Family) to help with expenses.

David was born March 3, 1968, in Tyler, Texas to Linda Graham and James Branin.  He proudly served in the United States Navy.  He married Sharmin Estep Cummings on March 25, 2006, in Alvarado, Texas.  David enjoyed building things like model cars and especially making guitars out of cigar boxes or anything he could find.  He liked to go to the lake, go camping and cook out.  Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.  David was a member of The River where he served in various ministries.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Branin; and mother, Linda Kenjalo.

Survivors include his wife, Sharmin of Panhandle; sons, Isaac Cummings and wife Amber of Panhandle, D.J. Branin of Panhandle; daughters, Isabella Branin of Panhandle, Serrena Branin of Panhandle; grandchildren, Paisley, Ellie; sisters, Tiffany Guzman and husband Gino of Arlington, Elizabeth Beers and husband David of McLean, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
