David Eugene Denham

David Denham, a true Renaissance spirit, born on April 10, 1948, bid farewell to this world on November 6, 2023, leaving behind a legacy as diverse and rich as the tapestry of his life.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 17, 2023, in the Minton Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the funeral home.

A Marine, father, fisherman, bowler, truck driver, mailman and THE Post Office DJ, photographer, spirited gambler, history buff, and Vietnam veteran, David wore many hats throughout his journey, each revealing a different facet of his character. In his golfing pursuits, David often playfully invoked the concept of "Mulligans.” In his Bass fishing adventures, the ebb and flow of the tides mirrored the rhythm of his adventurous spirit, and we would be remise if we didn't mention his perfect bowling game. David was also a gifted photographer, finding solace and inspiration in capturing the beauty of windmills and sunsets. His lens captured the serene elegance of windmills and the breathtaking moments of a day's end, freezing time and allowing others to share in the scenes that brought him joy. David was an accomplished truck driver and the original GPS, traversing across the entire United States with the same determination and skill he applied to all aspects of his life. Rain or Shine, David delivered more than just letters—he brought smiles, kindness, and a sense of community to each doorstep for over 30 years. He also served as THE DJ at the Post Office creating lasting memories and bringing smiles and rhythm to those around him. David, a free spirit, was a dependable and non-judgmental soul, embracing life with an open mind and a heart that welcomed others without reservation.

As a father, he extended these qualities to his children, providing unwavering support, guidance, and an abundance of love throughout their shared journey. As the oldest brother, David cherished and loved his siblings with a deep and enduring affection, fostering a bond that stood as a testament to the strength of family throughout his life.

David is survived by his sister, Patti Quiroz; brother, Rodger Denham; sons, Skyler Denham, Brighton Denham; daughters, Amber Watson, Kimber Johnson and husband Gage; grandsons, Connor Denham, Deklyn Johnson, and soon to arrive Brixton Johnson.

David is meeting in Paradise his father, Ed Denham; mother, Lucille Porsche; brothers, Mike Denham, Joe Paul Denham, Gary Wendel Denham, and Randall Stephens.

The final salute has been rendered, and David has embarked on a new mission. May his soul find eternal peace and may the memory of his remarkable spirit continue to inspire us all.

Semper Fidelis.
