David Mcgowan

David Harwood McGowan, 75, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday, October 17, 2013 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. His memory may be honored with a gift to Helping Hand, 517 West Jefferson Street, Borger, TX 79007 or to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 100 Amaryllis Street, Borger, TX 79007.

David was born June 14, 1938 in Saint Jo, Texas to F.E. and Catherine McGowan. He married Linda Betts February 19, 1966 in Phillips, Texas. David was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and a supervisor for Phillips. He was very active in Emmaus, Helping Hand and loved to golf.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home sons, David Hughes and his wife, Lecia of Abilene, Richard McGowan and his wife, Kim of Amarillo daughter, Rachelle Aguirre and her husband, Steve of Borger brothers, Bill McGowan and his wife, Bennie Lee of Arizona, Tony McGowan and his wife, Lou Ann of Tahoka six grandchildren, Lauren, Mandy, Paige, Peyton, Alexis, Hayden and a great granddaughter, Linley.
