David Leon West, 63, of Fritch, died Monday December 31, 2012 in Borger.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Realife Church in Borger with Pastor Shian Klassen officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

David West was born July 30, 1949 to Samuel and Bettye Britton West in El Paso, Texas. He was a Fritch resident since 1980, coming from Amarillo. David married Sandy Young May 4, 1974 in Evanston, Wyoming, and was a member of Realife Church in Borger. He worked for Perdue Acoustics building and installing sound panels. David enjoyed hiking, camping, watching westerns on TV, and was a member of the Tea Party. He loved being around children, and volunteering at Living Water ministries.

Survivors include his wife Sandy West two sons Travis and Kevin West, both of Amarillo two daughters Trisha Maiden of Dickinson, Texas, Keena Grasser of Waxahachie, Texas his sister Vicki Perdue of Erin, Tennessee six grandchildren Cassandra, Joshua, Ethan, Shawn, Reagan, and Nathan.

David is preceded in death by his parents.
