Dearil Taylor

Dearil Ray Taylor, 83, died March 21, 2018 at his home in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Dearil was born May 31, 1934 in Marlow, OK to William Earl Taylor and Gussie Thomas Taylor. He lived in Borger and the area since 1936 and was an Equipment Superintendent for Missouri Valley Construction Co. for 30 years. He married Marilyn Tidwell July 4, 1953 in Raton, NM and had loved her for well over the sixty five years they were married. Dearil attended Borger High School and loved to fish with his son Tim and yard work. He had a special place in his heart for his dog Gracie. He was a wonderful man and a loving Husband, Son, Father and Pepaw. Almost all the family had Ray in their names.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Don and Rudy and his sister Dorothy.

Dearil was survived by his loving wife Marilyn, his son Tim Taylor and his wife Jo Beth of Amarillo, one daughter, five grandchildren Jason, Cory, Travis, Christie and Leanna and five great grandchildren.
