Debbie Brewer

Debbie Brewer, 68, moved to Heaven Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Matt Price officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral directors of Borger. The family will receive guests from 11 am to 12 noon at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to First Baptist Church in Dumas, Gideons International or your favorite charity.

Deborah Ann Smith was born on January 7, 1956, in Borger to Bud and Jean (Shupp) Smith. She graduated from Borger High School in 1974. The fireworks began on July 4, 1975, when Debbie married Gary (Bubba) Brewer. Their precious daughter, Erica Jean, was born August 13, 1980, in Borger.

Debbie was a devout Christian woman, loved the Lord with all her heart and served Him faithfully. She always said she did many missions from janitor to giving her testimony. Her faith allowed her to conquer life’s many trials, finding humor along the way. Debbie instilled in her family the traits of unconditional love and serving the Lord. Her hobbies included decorating and quilting. 

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; grand angels, Oakley, Parker; her brother, Steven Dale Smith; adopted mom and dad, Frankie and Wilma Bevins; and adopted brother, Terry Bevins.

Debbie’s survivors include her husband, Gary of the home; daughter, Erica Taylor and husband Kris of Dumas; sisters-in-law, Charlene Smith, Jeanene Flippo both of Borger; brothers-in-law, Tim Brewer and wife Debbie of Yukon, Oklahoma, Tom Brewer and wife Gloria of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Don Brewer and wife Lucy of Wichita, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. 

Pallbearers are Kris Taylor, K.C. Mild, Cameron Walker, Brent Symes, Lance Doyle, Devin Munger, Gabe Munger.

Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Smith, David Slocum, Benjamin Slocum, Jason Slocum, Chesty Randall, Roger Collins, Don Allen, Paul Vaculin, J.R. Brewer and Xavier J. Carrizales.
