Debra "Debbie" Jean Smith, 61, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Denny Sneed and Mr. Kay Litterell officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the funeral home.

Debbie was born on November 8, 1956 in Borger, Texas to Earl Randall and Lou Ella Stafford Smith. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger. Debbie loved helping kids and worked as a paraprofessional at Crocket Elementary. She enjoyed the rodeo and western things, Willie Nelson and George Strait. Nothing brought more joy to her life than being with her nieces and nephews and their children.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmie Smith and her beloved border collie, Andy.

Survivors include her sister, Carla Gilchrest and husband Cecil of Tuttle, Oklahoma; brother, Joe Dale Smith and wife Lisa of Fritch; sister-in-law, Debbie Smith; nieces, Stacey Smith of Dumas, Christie Newby and husband Don of Duma s, Jennifer Anderson and husband Jared, Jessika Sanders and husband Johnny all of Fritch; nephews, Lee Gilchrest and wife Jennifer of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Terry Gilchrest and wife Sherrie of Yukon, Oklahoma, James Smith and wife Tiffany of Dumas, Zeb Smith of Borger, Matt Smith and wife Megan of Stinnett, Cody Smith and wife Angel of Fritch; special great nephew, Zane Smith; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
