Della Media Whaley, 96, died Thursday, September 24, 2009 in Borger.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Fritch with Mr. Richard Kasko, minister officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mrs. Whaley was born on November 14, 1912 in Cook County, Texas and had been a Fritch resident since 1950. She was co-owner and operator of Whaleys Marine. She was preceded in death by her husband Otho Whaley.

She is survived by two sons Curtis Whaley and wife Debra of Houston, Ken Whaley and wife Linda of Garland, three daughters Modine Burritt and husband Les of Wilson, NC, June Ragsdale of Odessa, Peggy Dees and husband Mike of Fritch, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Damon Dees, Kevin Whaley, Bobby Burritt and Randy Ragsdale.

There will be a visitation for family and friends on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Fritch.
