Delwanda Tate

Delwanda Tate, 78 of Borger died Saturday December 24th in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday December 28th at Eternal Light Church with Pastor Willie Adams officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Delwanda was born December 17, 1933 at Ada, Oklahoma to Issac and Ethel Cummings. She married Jimmie Tate September 6, 1951 at Clovis, New Mexico. She had been a resident of Borger since 1951. She loved reading, sewing and taking care of her grand babies. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie. Son Darrel Tate and wife Lendy of Borger. Daughters Patricia Lynne Preston of Borger. Katherine McElreath and husband David of Waco, Texas. Brothers Stanley Cummings of Borger, Donald Cummings and wife Betty of Panhandle, Charles Self of Clovis, New Mexico. Sisters Dorothy Taylor of Oregon, Glenda Turnbill of Tennesee, Maudine Grant of Wellington,Tx. and Linda Shattuck of South Carolina. Eight Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchilden and three Great Great grandchildren.
