Don Pundt, 80, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015.
Funeral service will be held 10 am Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in the Minton Memorial Chapel, Chaplain Willard Kiper, officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive guest from 7-8 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to Hospice Care of the Southwest, Campus Crusade for Christ, Gideons International or Gospel for Asia.
Don was born February 16, 1935 in Lovington, New Mexico to Joseph and Coral (White) Pundt. Mr. Pundt graduated high school from the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico. He proudly served in the United States Army. Don married the love of his life, Patsy McKinnon on July 26, 1958 at the University of Texas in Austin. He worked for JM Huber Corporation for 30 years. Don was a member of the Borger Camp of Gideons International; he also was a teacher at Baten Unit in Pampa for Grace of God Prison Ministry.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Pundt of the home; daughters, Sharon Smith and husband Bobby of Borger, Mary West of Pampa; four grandchildren, Ben West, Sarah West, Heather Thompson and husband Dillon, Bo Smith and wife Courtney; four great grandchildren, Lexie, Logan, Jaden, Sterling; brother-in-law, Richard McClure of Irving; sister-in-law, Linda McClure of Irving; niece, Melissa McClure of Dallas and nephew, Paul McClure of Irving.
