Donald "Donnie" Gene Parker, 67, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015.

Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, August 7, 2015 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Timothy Clark, officiating. Graveside service will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift the to Veterans Administration, 6010 W Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo, Texas, 79106.

Donnie was born July 24, 1948 in Borger to Annie (McEwen) and Horace E. Parker, Jr. He married Jane Griffith on June 30, 1998 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Donnie was a true family man who enjoyed cooking out, camping and fishing with his family. He also enjoyed playing fast pitch softball. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his father, Horace Parker, Jr.; brother, David Parker and his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Jane of the home; mother, Annie Parker of Borger; sons, Lance Parker and Tori Fryrear of Fritch; Jantzen Parker and wife Brianne of Amarillo, Aaron Patrick and Katie Douglas of Borger, Shawn Patrick and wife Candace of Davenport, Oklahoma; daughters, Krista Dawson and husband Rusty of Borger, Jordan Russell and husband Keith of Amarillo; fourteen grandchildren; sister, Lillian Pack and husband, Lewis of Cleburne; half siblings, Tammy Kelly and husband Hal of Bolivar, Missouri, Jan Cronk and husband Bill of Palestine, Steven Parker of Olathe, Kansas; mother-in-law, Sarah Frances Griffith of Borger; sisters-in-law, Karla Parker of Borger, Sarah Ann Clark and husband Randy of Fritch, Linda Ridgeway and husband Rocky of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
