Don L. Poindexter, 73, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in Borger.BRBRServices will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Highland Park Cemetery with Pastor Bill Ratchford of Borger Church of God officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Garden at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Poindexter was born on March 16, 1935 in Phillips, Texas. He was a surveyor for Williams Co., Transco Energy. Don served in the U.S. Army. He married Carolyn Hooten on October 13, 1984 in Fleetwood, PA. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and Elks. He was preceded in death by his parents Houston Lee Frances Poindexter and his sister Dorothy.BRBRSurvivors include his wife, Carolyn Poindexter of the home, son - Scott Strickland of Round Rock, TX, sister - Maxine Moe of Borger, and four grandchildren - Hunter Strickland, Madison Land, Katy Strickland and Gabriel Strickland.
