Donna Evelyn Mesneak, 66, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at her home. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with Dr. Ron Lacey of Amarillo and Pastor Calvin Winters officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Borger from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Donna was born December 5, 1948 in Borger to Verlie E. Deaton and Betty Grisham Deaton. She graduated from Borger High School in 1967 and also Frank Phillips College with an associates degree. She married James Mesneak June 7, 1969 in Borger where she lived her lifetime. Donna worked for Dr. Pruett first and then was a substitute teacher at Sanford Fritch schools. She spent the last 20 years in accounting for Chevron Phillips before she retired. She loved to camp in the mountains, especially Southfork, fishing at Lake Texoma and she raised and loved her quarter horses. Donna loved having her family around her, they had cookouts every weekend in the spring and summer. She dearly loved her grandkids and was a faithful member of the Wednesday night bible study, unless she was gone.
Donna was preceded in death by her mother Betty Deaton.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years James, her father V.E. Deaton of Borger, her two sons Alan Mesneak and his wife Suzanne of Fritch and Aaron Mesneak and his special friend Alicia Bonner also of Fritch, her daughter Cynthia Fullbright and her husband Steven of Frisco, TX, her two brothers Gary Deaton and his wife Edwina of Oklahoma City and Leslie and his wife Diane of Fritch, her eight grandchildren Lauren Dixon and her husband Andrew, Zach Mesneak, Dustin May, Baleigh May, Truman Fullbright, Grace Fullbright, Carson Mesneak and Isabella Fullbright.
