Dorothy Chowins

Dorothy Nell Chowins, 91 of Borger, died on Monday, October 17, 2022.  Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2022, at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.  There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born on January 10, 1931, in Mineral Wells, Texas to Lester and Hattie (Clutts) Davis.  She married Bill Chowins in 1947 in Borger and has been a resident of Borger since that time.  Dorothy was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary where she held the offices of president,  vice president, treasurer, and secretary.  She loved to cook.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; brothers, David Davis, Montie Davis, Howard Davis; and sisters, Patsy Lynn Jackson and Flow Jean Stoner.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, William Chowins and wife, Debbie of Borger; grandchildren, Mike Chowins and wife, Bobbi, Darya Brunson and Joshua, Jordan Cole, and Miranda Hodge and Chris.  Dorothy was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Robby Chowins, Veronica Chowins, and Roslynn Cole.
