Dorothy May Davis, 82, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Gary Bodine, former minster officiating. Interment will be in the Field of Honor at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMrs. Davis was born on September 18, 1925 in Buckley, Kansas to Claude Bessie Penick. Dorothy married H. S. Davis on June 3, 1945 in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was a resident of Borger for 60 years and was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ at Borger. She loved her family and church, traveling, camping, cooking, holidays and especially her grandkids. BRBRShe was preceded in death by her husband, H. S. Davis in January, 1979, her daughter, June Davis in 1999, two sons - Tommy Joe Davis in 2004 and Robert John Davis, and two brothers - Ray Penick and Jessie Penick.BRBRShe is survived by five sons - Loyd R. Davis wife, Valda of Fritch, Jim L. Davis wife, Brenda of Amarillo, Jerry D. Davis, David N. Davis wife, Linda and Danny L. Davis all of Borger; daughter - Joyce J. Davis of Houston, brother - Carl Penick wife, JoAnn of Dolan Springs, AZ, sister - Jeraldine Magerstadt of Waco, sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Shannon Horne, Brad Davis, Allen Horne, Robert Bryan and John King.BRBRMemorials may be made to Odyssey Health Care, 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, Texas 79106.BRBRThere will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
