Dorthy Hoke, 80, passed away Friday, November 10, 2006 in Odessa, Texas. Memorial services will be at 10am Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 at Faith Covenant Church in Borger, Texas with Pastor Les Sharpe officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Edgar and Amanda Koehler. She moved to Borger when she was 6 months old. She attended school at Weatherly and graduated from Borger High School. She attended Frank Phillips College.
Dorthy was a past volunteer with the Gray Ladies at North Plains Hospital and past president of the Golden Grandmothers Club. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Womens Bowling League at Cedar Lanes. She was a member of Faith Covenant Church, Order of Eastern Star 811 and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She served during the Korean Conflict in the Army Medical Corp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill P Hoke 1994 and her only son, Bill P Hoke II 2004.
Survivors include two daughters; Pam Sandlin, Fort Worth; Nora Williams, Odessa; and her brother; Bill Koehler, Fountain, Colorado. She has six grandsons, two granddaughters and three great-granddaughters and two nieces.
Casket bearers are: Melvin Kaylor, Max McKinney, Marvin Walker, Joe Janeway and Dennis Berg.
