Dorothy Faye Sims, 87 of Borger died Monday December 1st in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Thursday December 4th at Fritch Church of Christ with Richard Kasko officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Dorothy was born January 13, 1927 in Hamlin, TX to Roy Elmer and Eunice McWright Blackwell. She graduated from Anson High School. She married Henry Sims August 13, 1946 in Borger, TX. She worked at M.E. Moses for ten years as a sales clerk. She loved family reunions and sewing. She was known for her chicken and dumplings and stuffing.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 49 and a half years, parents and a brother Johnny C. Blackwell.
Dorothy is survived by sons Jimmy ray and wife Pat Sims of Dallas, Donald Lynn Sims of Fritch. Daughter Sandra Kay and husband Arlie Washer of Borger. Five grandchildren Joshua Sims of Borger, James and wife Michelle Sims of Shreveport, LA, Kimberly and husband Sammy Britten of Amarillo, Laura and husband Brandon Savage of Amarillo, Justin Sims of Tyler. Four great grandchildren Dylan Black, Daxtyn Savage and Rhett Britten all of Amarillo and Jacob Sims of Shreveport, LA.

There will be a visitation at the funeral home Wednesday December 3, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
