Dorothy "Dollie" Elizabeth Titus, 91, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at First Christian Church of Stinnett with Pastor James Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the First Christian Church, PO Box 517, Stinnett, Texas 79083 or to a charity of choice.
Dollie was born July 7, 1926 in London, England to Lillian and Henry William Smith. A survivor of the London bombing in 1945 Dollie met her husband, Bruce Virgil Titus, who was serving in the United States Army during the war. They married on September 11, 1945 at St. Michaels Church, Camden Town NW 1, London, England.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Stinnett. Dollie was a creative individual who enjoyed sewing and crocheting. One of her favorite pastimes was gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, John Smith; and sisters, Lillian Thurlow and Edie King.
Survivors include her daughter, Marie Brines of Borger; granddaughter, Dayna Flood and husband Jim Bob of Fritch; great granddaughter, Alyssa Flood; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends in Stinnett.
