Dorothy Whitefield

Dorothy Whitefield, 86, died January 25, 2015 in Hansford County. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Conny Moore of Bunavista Baptist Church officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Dorothy was born in Munday, Texas April 3, 1928 to Brooks and Mae Brooks. She was married to Doyle Whitefield for 67 years prior to Doyle's death in 2014. She was a member of Calvary Baptist church and a resident of Hansford Manor in Spearman. Doyle and Dorothy moved to Borger in 1955 after working the Oilfields in Canada for 5 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers, William "Bill" Brooks, Wayne Brooks, Joe Don Brooks.

She is survived by one son Mike of Midland, two grandsons, Derrick and Caleb all of Midland, four great granddaughters Madison, Brooklyn and Savannah of Kansas city and Hazelyn of Midland and one sister Jean Green of Graham Texas.

Family visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
