E. Gunn

E. L. 'Buster Gunn, 84, died Saturday, Oct. 24 in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, Oct, 28th at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Military Honors will be by the US Army. Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Gunn was born October 25, 1924 at Lamesa, Texas to Esla Lillie Gunn. He came to Borger in 1942.In 1943 he entered into the US Army serving in WWII. He was a retired partner of Gunn-Campbell Well Service. In 1964 he married Melba Jean Torbett at Panhandle. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1581 where he was a past trustee. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He is survivbed by his wife Melba. Sons Phillip and wife Laura Gunn od Borger, Jackie and wife Alta Gunn of Mesquite, Tx. and Neil and wife Phyllis of El Paso, Texas. Daughters Peggy Parker and husband Mark of Corsicana, Texas., Leigh Ann Turley of Borger. Nine grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
