Earl Franklin Cole, age 91, of Big Spring, TX died Thursday, January 22, 2015. He has gone home to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M., at First United Methodist Church in Panhandle, TX Jack Pack, Earl's nephew, and Buddy Payne, pastor will officiate.
He married the love of his life Mary Foster in 1944 in Quartzsite, Arizona.. They were married for 62 years. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was the father of four sons, Larry and wife Jeanne, Glen, Randy and wife Jeanne, Kevin and wife Deb. He is survived by his grandchildren Charlotte Huff and husband Mike, Jamie Wedge and husband Mark, Steven Cole and wife Monica, Zane Cole and wife Marie, Crystal Stapleton and husband Tony, Candice Greene and husband Khalil , Chris Cole and Jessica, Joy Dalrymple and husband Curtis , Pam Qualls and husband Jeremy. He is also survived by great grandchildren Luke, Nicole, Mason, Carter, Cason, Zoe, Lexie, Rex, Finley, Sloane, Tallis, Gavin, Corbin, Baylee , Jordan , Dalton, Chelsea, Tyler, Amelea, and Jeydence. Also, two great, great grandchildren Adalyn, and Trinity.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, wife, infant son Jimmy Dean, four sisters, three brothers, and one granddaughter, Amanda Carpenter.
He was born April 22, 1923 in Garvin, Oklahoma. He was born to Claud Cole and Bessie Cole. He was the seventh of eight children.
He served in the Army Air Force from 1942-1946.
He served overseas in Italy, France and Germany during World War II. He was a member of the VFW of Panhandle, TX. Earl loved the Lord and his family. Earl enjoyed gardening, flowers, and fishing.
He spent his last years at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring, TX. He was very well cared for there. He loved the Greens Gospel Music Concerts.
He was a faithful husband, son, brother, son-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements are with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Home of Panhandle, TX.
The family requests memorials be made to the V.F.W. Post 628, at Box 943, Panhandle, TX 79068 or to their favorite charity.
