Earl Strickland

Earl Dean Strickland, 74, died Monday, January 24, 2011 in Borger.

No services are scheduled. Cremation is under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Strickland was born on February 4, 1936 in Cumby, Texas and had been a Borger resident since he was 16. He retired from the oilfield and later from trucking. He married Sandra Collier on July 22, 1970 in Raton, NM. He was a member of BPOE Lodge 1581 and was preceded in death by his parents Claude Cora Strickland.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Strickland of the home, four sons James Earl Strickland of Lancaster, TX, Perry Collier and Carlton Collier both of Gruver, TX, Mitchell Collier of Amarillo, three daughters Carla Dean Roberts of Sherman, TX, Debby Bonham of Tulsa, OK, Sherry Phillips of Del Rey Oaks, CA, two brothers Howard Strickland and Billy Strickland both of Texas, numerous grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren.
