Edward "Ed" Wheeler, 75 of Stinnett passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the Garden of Peace at Westlawn Memorial Park with Ralph Pumphrey of Borger officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Edward Murry Wheeler was born August 29, 1941 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Marion and Murry (Hart) Wheeler. He was a lifetime member of the Borger Elks Lodge and had lived most of his life in the Stinnett, Borger area. Ed graduated from Phillips High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He married Janice Milum April 2, 1960 in Borger, and was a plant operator at Agrium where he retired. Ed loved his grandkids, playing 31, fishing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Phyllis Helmer, and Carolyn McElroy.
Survivors include his wife Janice; son Shawn Wheeler of Stinnett; brother James Wheeler and wife Regina of Post; sister Charlotte Garlington of Rockwall; two grandchildren Kasey and Ashton Wheeler.
