Eddie Watson

Eddie Tom Watson, 61, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025.

Funeral services are pending at this time.

In honor of Eddie, please wear orange not only because it was his favorite color but also because it is the color of kidney cancer awareness. Also, in true Eddie fashion, he wanted to processional to his grave to be like one last car show, so if you have a hot rod, motorcycle or some other auto fitting of the show, please drive it on the way to the cemetery after the church service. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to the Kidney Cancer Association. PO Box 676226, Dallas, Texas, 75267-6226.

Eddie was born January 8, 1964, in Vernon, Texas to James Thomas Watson and Lorene Clark Watson. He married Brenda Lacey on February 23, 2004, in Fritch. Eddie was a simple man with much to offer the world. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none. If you knew Eddie, you knew he was a big prankster. He could be ornery but had a BIG heart. Eddie was known to set up car shows or make tailgate benches for folks to raffle off to help pay for medical expenses. He enjoyed tinkering with cars, fishing and was a talented woodworker.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lorene Watson; and sisters-in-law, Patty and Elaine Watson.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Brenda of Fritch; sons, Jerry Watson and wife Jennifer of Fritch, Ben Flewelling and wife Amber of Houma, Louisiana; daughters, Heather Jones and husband Mitch of Fritch, Ashley Watson of Borger, Kristina Howell of Fritch, Abigail Howell of Fritch, Kesha Smith of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Brozie, Breezie, Brix, Kendall, Hanna, Maddie, Allie, Amelia; brothers, Jerry Watson of Amarillo, Terry Watson of Amarillo, Jimmy Watson and wife JonAnn of Beaumont; sister, Carolyn Stokes and husband Keith of Amarillo; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
