Edna Ray

Edna Muriel Ray, 80 of Borger died Thursday March 28th at Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday April 1st at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Larry Argo of Hollis, Oklahoma and Rev. Bobby Argo of Artesia, NM officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Muriel was born March 30, 1932 at Vinson, Oklahoma to Henry and Elizabeth Adkins Argo. She married Vaudrey Lee Ray July 5, 1951 at Hollis, Oklahoma. She was a founding member of First Church of the Nazarene. She loved her dog Ginger, the Cowboys, Rangers and the Astros. She also loved her grandkids and great grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1998, sister Fannie, and brothers Ivan, James and Herman.

She is survived by her sons James C. Ray and wife Debra of Borger, Jerry Ray and wife Kimber of Bridgeport, Texas. Daughters Elizabeth Hunsaker and husband Jerry of Rising Star, Texas, Janice Ivey and husband Ron of Owasso, Oklahoma, Terrye Dowden and husband Tom of Amarillo, Texas. Grandchildren Aaron Hunsaker, Jerrod Ray, Sean Dowden, Kara Potter, Charity Escobar and Danielle McCollum. Eleven great grandchildren.
