Edward Engel

Edward Philip Engel, 86 of Tyler, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 in Tyler. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, at the Bunavista Baptist Church, in Borger. Rev. David Langen will officiate with Brian Poisson assisting. Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Engel was born in Clarendon, Texas to Philip and Annie Mary Engel on January 20, 1927. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy where he was ranked as Petty Officer 3rd Class. Mr. Engle lived in Borger since 1950, where he married JoAnn Hansard on November 23, 1955. He was an accountant for Huber for 32 years. He was a member of the Bunavista Baptist Church.

Mr. Engel is survived by his wife, JoAnn Engel son, Michael Engel and wife Debbie of Minneapolis, MN daughter, Donna Langen and husband David of Tyler sister, Emily Chipman of Tracy, CA grandchildren, Shane Langen and wife, Shelly of Lubbock, Sheree Poisson and husband, Brian of Flint, TX, Benjamin Engel of Reno, NV, and Persephanie Engel of Los Angeles, CA Greatgrandsons Kayden Langen, Kendall Langen, Carter Langen and Kale Langen, all of Lubbock, Mikey Poisson and Caleb Poisson of Flint, TX.
