Joy Haley, 81, died November 18, 2016 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Stinnett Church of Christ with Mr. Rick Ball, Minister officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Joy was born January 29, 1935 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Joe Dickinson and Callie Bonneau Dickinson. She has lived in Borger since 1940 and married Carlos Roy Haley July 30, 1954 at the Monroe Street Church of Christ in Borger. She was an Office Manager for the J. M. Huber Corp. for 20 years. Joy and Roy's life goal was to be of service to others, she was a volunteer with Helping Hands, the Hutchinson County Museum and was a gray lady for the Red Cross. Joy loved taking care of all the employees of Huber, to shop and to be with her family and they all loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy and her parents.
Joy is survived by her son Roy Chris Haley of Amarillo and her daughter Lari Beth Thompson of Amarillo and her grandchildren.
