El Holmes

ElMarie Holmes, 84, of Amarillo died Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with the Rev. Calvin Winters, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch, officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mrs. Holmes was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Galveston. She was married to Hurvel Holmes in Borger, June 4, 1946. She was a homemaker living in Fritch until the death of her husband Hurvel Jack Holmes in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents Hoyt and Dena Allen of Borger, and her son Allen of Amarillo. Survivors include a daughter, Cheri Snyder of Amarillo a sister, Martha Dillard of Possum Kingdom five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
